Description

Interesting Subject for a Studio Portrait! I am assuming this is an example of a Mormon soldier in about 1910. He is wearing an embroidered shirt and his shoes/slippers have "puffy balls" on the toes. Note that there are two different cartridge belts - one looks to hold bullets and the other appears to hold shotgun shells. If you are familiar with this type of soldier and his dress I would welcome your  comments! Condition is at least very good with minimal corner wear. Stamp box indicates that this postcard dates from between 1904 - 1918, but since the postcard is a divided back card, it is narrowed to 1908 - 1918. Not mailed and clean on the front. Back is darkened due to age and does not detract from the overall condition.
