The Starter Kit is a starting point for your Blumat watering system. Contains everything you need to set up a 6-Blumat rain-barrel system: 6 Tropf-Blumats Water Sensors 1.5 meters (5 feet) of hose Fittings 1 rain barrel/gravity tank connector Instructions for installation Use for indoor grows or other outdoor uses include vegetable gardens, rose and fruit bushes, and beautiful flower beds. The Tropf-Blumat System is always suitable when plant groupings require consistent moisture. Easily Water 250 Plants The 8mm (1/4") water supply tube can sustain 250 plants. If your plant grouping is larger, you can install a tee just beyond the pressure reducer, enabling you to connect 2 x 60 meters and 500 plants.Conventional watering systems release water at intervals which are automatically scheduled via computer. What they do not take into consideration is the amount of sunshine, the current moisture of the soil or the varying water requirements of individual plants. Tropf-Blumat is different: It doesen't have to be plugged in to the power supply, nor does it require a computer. Each ceramic cone responds to the moisture content of the surrounding soil, only releasing the amount of water required by the particular plant at any given moment. So Tropf-Blumat is a sensor and drip feed system, both at the same time. The slow and measured release of water enables plants to receive water which has been allowed to stand for a while at a temperature which is in keeping with the enviroment. This ensures both profuse flowerage as well as healthy plant growth.
